Key Transition Goals
When migrating customers from another Microsoft Partner, Eden Akers focuses on:
Eliminating duplicate subscription costs
Preventing license downtime
Managing delays in license provisioning
Customer Onboarding Steps
Customer fills in Eden Akers Cloud Onboarding form: link

Logged into the Microsoft Admin Portal as a Global Administrator, Customer needs to accept the below link to establish an Indirect Reseller Relationship between the customers Tenant and Eden Akers
By provisioning a first (trial) license, Eden Akers confirms and sets up the Relationship between your tenant and the Xvantage Cloud Marketplace.
Transferring NCE (CSP) Licenses
Eden Akers supports two transfer options, allowing flexibility based on your needs:
Method 1: Overlap Provisioning
Timing: Initiated one business day before existing licenses expire.
Process: Eden Akers provisions an identical set of licenses via our Marketplace. Microsoft’s auto-claim functionality ensures a seamless swap for licenses with the same name. (Note: It is recommended to use Group-Based Licensing to ensure a smooth transition)
Why using this method: It offers a 24-hour buffer, reducing the risk of delays due to provisioning issues with the Microsoft API.
Outcome: Users experience no interruption, and license management and cost visibility move immediately to Eden Akers.
Method 2: Administrative Transfer via Partner Center (preferred)
Overview: Conducted through Partner Center, this process transfers licenses mid-term, assigning billing responsibilities at the transfer point.
Steps:
The onboarding steps as indicated above
Eden Akers will provide the customer with a PowerShell script that creates the Excel file required to initiate the License Transfer (Get Tenant Subscription Info for Move to Eden Akers)
Eden Akers (the “target partner”) submits a transfer request to her Distributor Ingram Micro.
The current partner (“source partner”) received and approves the request.
Source partner pays until the transfer date, Eden Akers assumes responsibility thereafter
Timing: Transfers usually finalize within an hour, though completion may take up to 72 hours in complex cases.
Outcome: Customers gain immediate access under Eden Akers, with no interruption and no cost overlap.
Choosing the method:
| Consideration | Overlap Provisioning | Admin Transfer |
|---|---|---|
| Cost overlap | 1 business day of overlap | None |
| Risk of provisioning delay | Built-in buffer | Requires timely approval |
| Coordination difficulty | Minimal coordination needed | Managed by Eden Akers |
| Speed to completion | Guaranteed by buffer method | Potentially faster if well-coordinated |

Price protection: Lock in current pricing by purchasing a single 1‑year license, then scale within that year at the locked price.
Upgrades: Most active licenses support upgrades for the remaining term.
Azure subscription admin management: Azure subscriptions created through Eden Akers’ Marketplace require a designated Azure Admin, as outlined in our management guide.
