Introduction

This article outlines the step-by-step process for adding a new license to your organization's tenant using the Marketplace. While the example provided utilizes the Microsoft Visio Plan 2 Trial license, the procedures described are applicable to a wide range of Microsoft products and services available through the Marketplace. Following these steps will assist IT administrators in efficiently provisioning new licenses within the Microsoft 365 or Dynamics 365 environment.

Step 1: Access the Marketplace

To add a new license, start by navigating to the Marketplace in one of two ways:

  • From the Dashboard page, select Marketplace [Browse], or

  • From the left-side navigation menu, click Marketplace.

This will take you directly to the Marketplace, where you can browse available licenses and services.

Step 2: Locate the Desired Product

To find the license you wish to add, you can:

  • Browse through the available products listed in the Marketplace, or, preferably,

  • Enter the product name (for example, "Visio Plan 2 Trial") in the Marketplace Search bar located at the top of the screen.

Using the search functionality is recommended for quickly locating specific products.

Step 3: Select and Add the Product to Your Cart

After entering the product name, the search results will appear:

  • Select the desired product (e.g., "Visio Plan 2 Trial") from the displayed results.

  • Click Add to Cart.


Note: Displayed prices are Microsoft's Suggested Retail Prices and may differ from your actual costs due to individual commercial agreements with Eden Akers


Repeat these steps for each additional product you wish to add to your tenant.

Step 4: Review and Complete the Order

After adding all desired products to your cart:

  • Click the Cart icon located in the top-right corner of the Marketplace page.

Step 5: Review and Adjust Order Details

After clicking the Cart icon, the Place an Order window will appear:

  • Carefully review all items listed in the cart to ensure accuracy.

  • Adjust the Quantity of licenses if needed, or remove any unwanted products.

  • Verify and select the correct Subscription Period (monthly or yearly) and Payment Cycle (monthly or yearly).

    • Important: For annual subscriptions, confirm that the Subscription Period is set to 1 year, while the Payment Cycle should be 1 month.

  • Click [Next] when done


Step 6: Setup Your Purchase

In the Setup your purchase step, you will be prompted to provide additional details about your CSP account:

  • Always select the option "Use an existing Microsoft CSP end customer account", as Eden Akers performs the initial setup of all CSP accounts.

  • Click [Next] to continue


Step 7: Enter Tenant Vanity Domain Name

After clicking [Next], you'll be asked to enter the tenant’s Vanity Domain Name:


  • The field is prefilled with the vanity domain used in your last successful order.

  • Ensure you enter the correct vanity domain name associated with your tenant.

  • Ensure to check the "Partner on Record Attestation" checkbox as well

Important:

  • Entering a non-existent vanity domain or one without an established GDAP relationship will result in an error, preventing the license purchase from completing successfully.

Once verified and correctly entered, proceed by clicking [Next].


Step 8: Confirm State-Owned Entity Status

After entering your tenant’s vanity domain name, you'll be asked to confirm your organization's status:

  • Indicate whether your organization is a State-Owned Entity

Click [Next] to continue


Step 9: Finalize Your Order

In this final step, you have the opportunity to provide additional information before completing your purchase:

  • Promo Code:
    Enter a valid promo code provided by Microsoft or Eden Akers, if applicable.

  • PO Number (Optional):
    Enter a purchase order number for internal reference or tracking purposes.

  • Agreement Acceptance:
    Review and accept the following terms by selecting the corresponding checkbox:

    • Ingram Micro Cloud Services General Terms of Service

    • Microsoft Terms and Conditions

    • Supplemental Terms for Cloud Products and Services

Once all necessary information has been provided and terms accepted, finalize your purchase by clicking [Buy].


Step 10: Order Completed

After successfully submitting your order, you'll arrive at the Thanks for your Order screen. From here, you have two options:

  • Continue Shopping:
    Select this option to return to the Cloud Marketplace and make additional purchases.

  • Track Order:
    Click this option to monitor the provisioning status and details of your completed order.


Your licenses will now begin provisioning to your tenant which is expected to take max 15 minutes
