For new Microsoft Customers consuming Cloud via Eden Akers the following steps apply:

  1. Eden Akers will create the new customer in the Eden Akers Cloud Marketplace and grant the customer access for full self-service. As part of this proces the so called "Tenant" will also be created using your companies name.
The information Eden Akers requires for this step is the following:
    • The full Company name, address, zip code and city
    • The website url of your company. We will use the domain to create the so called onmicrosoft.com vanity domain. So if your Company is called "Contoso Electronics" and you website is www.contoso.com, we will name de tenant contoso.onmicrosoft.com
    • Contact person, email address of the contact person and telephone number of the contact person
    • The Chamber of Commerce Registration Number
    • The VAT number of the company
    • The email address for our monthly invoices
    • A list of people who need access to the Marketplace (First Name, Last Name and email address) so that they can order and manage Microsoft 365 Licenses and Azure Consumption

Notes:

  • In the Cloud Marketplace Created Subscriptions can be cancelled with a period of 7 calendar days, before they become definitive for their chosen duration (1 month or 1 year, currently). They will be billed for the days they were active and provisioned
  • A widely used and supported method of price protection for future (already known) price increases is to order a single license for the applicable subscription for the duration of 1 year. The number of that license can then, against the price that was valid at the moment of purchase of the single license, be increased at any desired moment within these 12 months.
  • Upgrades are in the majority of the situations supported for already active licenses and they will continue to run for the remainder of the duration of the original license.
  • Important: Azure Subscriptions created via the Eden Akers Cloud Marketplace can only be managed by a specific Azure Admin User after the steps from the article "How to manage newly created Azure Subscriptions"
