There are multiple ways to "auto start" programs when Windows is started / when a user signs into Windows. Next to using the Registry and the Windows Task Scheduler, it can also be done using the Windows "Startup" folder. This article explains how to open that folder.
- On your keyboard press the [Windows] key + [R], the Run Dialog will appear
- Type shell:startup
- and click [Ok]. Windows File Explorer now opens with the Startup Folder. All Shortcuts and Programs placed in this folder will be run when Windows is Started.
